I though Anata was the less polite word

"Anta" is the impolite form of "anata".
It is more casual.
And yes, wives sometimes call their
husbands "anata" meaning "dear" in ONLY
those occasions.
So while talking to other people,

"horse-deer," not "horse play" as
the author wrote. "Horse play" (i.e.

That subtitle was probably
transliterated to deal with the context
of what was being said. "Baka" can be
used like, "you're an idiot" to dismiss
a ridiculous idea. Sort of like if
someone says "that man tried to fly out
the window when he was drunk, I saw
him," and you don't believe that person
so you say "you're an idiot..." It's
implied that they're calling your story

This word is totally outdated! My
parents might have said "Ikasu!" when
they were 25 years old. And I'm 35
years old now. "Iketeru" would be better
for the 21st century, even though this

"Kuso" can, in fact, be used to talk
about the thing (feces) itself, in
addition to being used as an expletive.
It's also used in compounds such as
"hanakuso" (boogers; literally
"nose-shit"), "kusomajime" (overly
serious), and "hetakuso" (extremely
